I am Jessica, the designer and maker of all products on the Just Sew Baby website. This fun adventure all started while I was pregnant with my third child in 2009.
I started thinking about how I could combine my love for sewing, while still being available for whatever my family needs. I started sewing when I was very young. My Grandmother taught me the basics with a needle and thread. While I did sew a lot during my younger years, once I went to college, it seemed I had forgotten all about my love for sewing besides the occasional alteration or curtains for my own home. I got to thinking about what I could do to make some of the items I used with my first two children more useful. I remembered how frustrated I was with the hooded towels I received as gifts except two; the two I received from my Grandmother. She made them super sized from raw terry cloth and a piece of ribbon. They came in very useful, because I had very large children(9.9, 9.3 and 9.10). I started to think about how I could make them with my own flare, not long after my first product was born. It all finally came together while I was pregnant with my third baby and in September of 2009 is when I packed up my first bit of inventory I had and drove up to Little Falls Arts & Craft Show. I have since created many new products of my own and a few spin offs of the old faithful products that in my opinion just didn't meet a parents/babies needs.
My philosophy when creating my products is; to make a high quality product that actually meets the needs of parents & baby at an affordable price.
